How to Make Natural Disinfectant Spray

Learn the easy steps to make a DIY disinfectant spray and get rid of those caustic store bought chemicals from your home

Equipment

  • Glass Spray Bottle

Materials

  • 1 cup Warm Water
  • 1/4 cup Baking Soda
  • 1/2 cup alcohol ethyl or isopropyl (65% - 95%)
  • 10 drops Tea Tree Oil optional
  • 10 drops Lemon Essential Oil optional

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk the warm water and baking soda together until the baking soda is dissolved.
all of the ingredients to make the natural disinfectant spray
  • Add the alcohol and the essential oils. I am sensitive to smells and prefer to leave the essential oils out of the mixture, but feel free to add them as you like.
  • Use a kitchen funnel to pour the liquid solution into your reusable spray bottle and make sure to securely fasten the nozzle
  • Give the bottle a good shake to thoroughly combine the ingredients. It’s ready to use!

Notes

How easy was that? Just make sure to shake the bottle in between uses because the oils will naturally tend to separate whenever the bottle has sat still for too long.
